Design That Solves Problems for the World’s Poor - New York Times

What a brilliant device. It is a water container that can be rolled! So many women in third world countries must spend a great deal of time carrying water and this invention makes the process so much easier.
I can't add much more to the above great article than to say... Amen! Let's put the brightest to work on really solving the worlds problems rather. In my view, solving the problems is providing a means of sustainable income. It is also my view that this upward mobility comes from a foundation of education. There also needs to be stop-gap humanitarian aid in order to provide any of these opportunities. If you are starving, or if most of your family is dying of aids, education and sustainable income is the farthest thing from your mind.
